The course is designed to expose the graduate students to acquire knowledge, skills and competences that complex public policy problems are to deal with multi stakeholder solutions. It examines the role of partnership with non-governmental organizations, private and semi-autonomous institutions in carrying out important public services. The Public Private Partnerships is one of the particular forms of third party government The Tanzania Five Year Development Plan recognizes the need for active participation of every stakeholder to making the development process achieved.
Course expected learning outcome
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts, theories, approaches, tenets and nature of public, private partnerships
- Demonstrate an ability to analyse various processes and activities related to public private partnerships such as privatisation, outsourcing and effective contract management
Demonstrate an ability to effectively apply
different types and approaches to PPP
